Some people decide to retake the exam to obtain a better score, which means spending more money before submitting the results to specific business schools. Retaking the test will require paying the full $250 registration fee again. The test can be retaken up to five times within a 12-month period. The GMAT can only be taken once within a 16-day period. You can only take the test a total of 16 times. All scores are valid for up to five years through the start of the business school. Retaking the exam multiple times does not affect eligibility to business schools and can even show that you’re committed to succeeding.
